Allergy symptoms due to pollens are common this time of the year. They can range from itchy, watery eyes, clear runny nose, to coughs especially at night, early morning, or with exertion. Other symptoms such as ears feeling plugged, trouble hearing, headaches, and excessive tiredness may also occur. Please contact our office with questions you may have or to schedule an appointment.

Water Safety

Please remember to take special care with your children around water. Never leave your child unsupervised, even for a second, around any body of water-bath tub, pool, jacuzzi, etc. Everyone should have a fence around their pool.

Swimming classes are offered by a variety of businesses including the YMCA throughout the valley. CPR classes are also offered at various locations.

Flu Vaccine

Flu season is just around the corner. The height of flu season in Arizona is usually January through March, although sporadic cases may occur at any time once the weather starts to cool down. The flu vaccine is recommended for all children 6 months of age and older. Children under 9 years of age receiving the flu vaccine for the first time will require two vaccines given at least one month apart. In addition this year the recommendation has changed to require two vaccines for children under 9 years of age if they had only received one vaccine for the first time in the previous two years. Children older than 9 years require only one vaccine. We will begin administering the vaccine in October, please call our office to schedule your child’s vaccine.
